We were here for a wedding and had an extra day to do something fun so we chose the number one thing to do and once again were not steered wrong! From the moment Mike and Jordan picked us up from the Safeway parking lot we were treated very well! Jordan was our guide on the rafting trip and was very fun and knowledgable. The bus ride was 40 minutes each way and Jordan narrated us the entire time, answering all questions no matter how dumb the questions may have seemed. The rafting trip itself was AMAZING!!!!! EXHILERATING!!!!! These were class 3 rapids and we had an 80 year old Gramma who went and were worried about her, but Jorden made absolutely sure she was safe and had a wonderful time. Would do it again and highly recommend asking for Jordan! Thanks, Captain Mark

Did a rafting tour with the company over a Saturday afternoon. The staff were very friendly and professional. I was a little concerned about the experience but was very well coached and can say I am looking forward to doing it again. Thanks guys!

Lakota whitewater rafting down Brown's Canyon with Thatcher & David Rocked!

My family thoroughly enjoyed this adventure down the Arkansas with a stop to eat and a jump off the rock! We were worried about a huge bus trip but were relieved when David & Thatcher got us in a nearby parking lot with a van; they were awesome tour guides with information about the areas we traveled through making the trip up and back interesting. The entire day was worry-free and made my daughters' (9 and 14 years old) first experience with rafting fun and comfortable. Looking forward to a return trip. Watch out for the Toilet Bowl!

Wonderful day, excellent guides and driver!

We (grandparents and 2 18 year old girls) were picked up at our West Vail timeshare right on time, picked up at 2 additional stops and were on our way - Ryan and Paul kept us laughing and learning all the way to the river ( a 45 min drive that flew by). Great personalities, they talked to passengers individually along the way introducing themselves and asking about each of us as if they really cared. Mike was our most excellent guide on the river (we had the 3/4 day trip on the Colorado that included a chicken fajita lunch) - our group of nine included a family of 5 with 3 young children. Mike paid specific attention to the young children and to the 2 ''old folks" - us- who had volunteered to be in the front. We learned the correct way to paddle, got very wet and thoroughly enjoyed the class 3 rapids during the first 1/2 hour of the trip. Lunch was well done - kudos to David who not only drove the bus but cooked lunch. We definitely recommend Lakota and would definitely use them again. Their attention to safety, fun personalities and social skills made us feel safe and enjoy every minute.

Great rafting trip with great guides

This was out first visit to Colorado and we decided to do some whitewater rafting on the Colorado River while here. We looked at a few outfits and decided on Lakota River Guides based on some of the reviews we read as opposed to some of the larger outfits near Avon, CO (where we stayed). I'm glad we picked Lakota...the guides were great...lots of information about what we were seeing on the trip, funny and knowledgeable. Safety instructions were to the point and easy to understand...and since I was one of those people who got to experience an "OBE", or out of boat experience, I was glad to have had them. Despite some involuntary swimming in the river, I didn't feel like I was going to be in trouble because I knew just what I should do in case it happened. After getting back in the raft it was back to the white water and a lot of fun. I'm glad we picked this outfit - from the pickup at the hotel to the transportation to the river, the trip through the rapids and the lunch at the end, this was a great way to be introduced to white water rafting.
