Easy, personal, professional

This is the second time I've used Black Tie, and I would not go anywhere else for ski equipment rentals. It is so easy. I set up my rental on-line, and poof, they appeared at my room with an assortment of everything I needed on the date and time I ask them to. If I didn't like the skis I skiied on (like during my previous rental), they would come over with new ones. I loved it - no lines, just personal, professional knowledge service. I bought my skis from them at the end of the rental for a really fair price. I knew exactly what the skis could do and simply had them bill me for them, and took them home from my vacation.

I used black tie ski rentals for a long weekend in Beaver Creek in January. I thought that the reservation process was easy. They delivered the equipment (high end K2 Apache Recon with composite poles) at the exact time requested. The equipment was in excellent shape-newly tuned and waxed. The fit process took all of five minutes and I was ready to go. The return process was as simple as handing back the equipment to the black tie personnel. I would highly recommend this service for their professionalism and convenience.

A no-brainer

I've used these guys several times now. Much easier and more fun to be sipping a glass of wine or a beer in your room/condo while you get your skis fit than standing in line at some ski shop. They have a good selection of top-end skis and now good boots also. They'll come exchange your skis if you don't like them or if conditions change. If you check prices you'll see they are competitive with or even cheaper than most of the ski shops. Very nice staff. Much more professional than your typical ski shop slackers.

Easy way to rent skis and boards

March 30, 2008: We recently visited Beaver Creek, Co and rented both skis, boots and snowboards/boots from Black Tie Ski rentals. It was incredibly easy and the equipment was top notch. My husband has an artificial leg/foot and they were extremely helpful in making sure he had a boot that would fit. I booked my reservations on the internet. They showed up at our condo right on time, already had skis and boots to fit and fit the entire family. We exchanged one set of skis during the visit for a different length which they brought out with no questions asked. At return time, all I did was leave the equipment in the ski locker and they came to pick it up (by getting a key from the lobby/front desk). We did not even have to be there. All in all, I would rate the service, equipment, prices and personnel as excellent.
