It's THE Best breakfast in the Mountains

Its great fun to watch the cooks make wonderful breakfasts for the 20 seat place tucked away in Lion's Head Vail Village. If you like breakfast -- this is the place to go. The chief will tell you all about the carols restaurants in all of the towns near & far as well as the prettiest drives to get there. Great place & really good food.

Best Breakfast in Vail

Great food in a diner atmosphere. Service is ok but not great. The food is excellent, although a little pricy. My family loves the place. It is fun to watch your breakfast being cooked while you watch. The place only holds about 20 people. Timing your arrivial is a big deal.

I read about this place on tripadvisor and the whole week we were in Vail I talked about finding this place and getting breakfast here. Well, apparently it was right next to our resort (The Landmark)! We ate a late breakfast there so we avoided the crowd but the food is delicious. Within our group we tried most of the menu items and no one walked away dissapointed. I personally enjoyed the Eggs Benedict. If you are traveling with little ones, don't let the size and seating scare you. They were able to accomodate our 8 month old to sit at the counter with us. Great service, great food, on the priceier end of breakfast.

Absolutely delightful

We just finished eating at the Little Diner. What a treat! We love taking road trips and enjoy finding fun places to eat. I'm also a food "geek" ( not snob), and I appreciate a tasty meal. I had the Florentine omelet. I don't like hash browns, but these were awesome. Half the fun was sitting at the counter and watching the chefs cook. In a bland fat food world, the Little Diner adds quite a bit of flavor!

Horrible Service , Good Food

My Wife had to have surgery in vail (which went GREAT by the way; The Steadman Clinic is AWESOME!!!. I went to the diner to order food for us and when I got there one of the staff came over to me with the expression like he did not want to be bothered. He asked me what I wanted. When I said I needed a few more minutes he turned around saying nothing and walked away like I had wasted his time. AFter about 10 minutes another guy (in his 30's) comes over and as if in a rush asks; what would you like. I gave him my wife's ordwer but then when I asked him a question about the biscuit and gravy he rudely said thats just how it is (can you beleive that). ANyway I quickly completed my order as to not slow him down. He quickly typed it in and went about his buisiness (cracking eggs). I STILL had NO drink orders taken :). I could go on and on about how badly the staff treated each other (quite uncomfortable for such a tight spaced diner, but in short, the Food was good but the service put a bad taste in my mouth. P.S Quite pricey (e.g. 1 pacake is $2.00, one spoon gravy is $1.50)
