Special place in Vail

My parents live in Vail during the summer. When my dad wanted to take us out for their anniversary, he picked Lancelot. Prime rib, pork, veal --- all were great and summer value priced at $20 per entree. Service was great. If you want to eat outside, you get plastic tables, but inside it's all white linen and great service. They specialize in prime rib but we all had different items and loved the food.

This was probably our fifth time to visit Lancelot during a trip to Vail and it was again a wonderful evening. The steak and trout were both excellent. Service was seamless, and the view by the creek was beautiful. I hope they don't change a thing.

Great value in Vail

This place specializes in prime rib but no one in our party of three had it. Salmon and veal were the orders of the day. All were perfectly cooked and nicely presented. The service was superb. The waitress was able to tell us the differences among 4 or 5 different bottles we were considering from the extensive wine list and our glasses never sat empty despite it being a fairly busy night. The quality of the food, the decor, the service and the wine list were all great. Let's face it no one comes to Vail for the dining bargains. This is one of the best values here.

Great Food without Vail's High Prices!

You can get a great meal at Lancelot, and not have to deal with the crowds and high prices that you will experience at the 'trendy' Vail restaurants. While Lancelot's famous for its prime rib, I love their Austrian specialites, especially their veal. If you get there early, they often have a deal where you can get two entrees for the price of one if you also buy a bottle of wine...and you have to do that anyway, don't you!
